Welcome to my Home Page!

I am pleased to offer this web site as a means for patients to learn more about me and to provide links to useful handouts and medical information to assist in your on going health care needs.

If you click on any of the topics in the Navigator bar to the left, you will be brought to a page with a list of After care instruction sheets or to a list of many General Healthcare Topics that may answer some of the questions you may have about the disease or injury you were seen for in the emergency department

Personal information

I am very glad to be part of the Kaiser San Rafael team. I started as a physician in the Emergency Department in 1980, and have seen out membership grow over the decades, as my own family has grown. My wife Laura and I have two daughters and a son-in-law with undergraduate degrees from Arizona State University, and a son who works in a business in Santa Rosa. We also have 2 young grandchildren. When I'm not playing with the baby boys, I like to snow ski in Tahoe, and bicycle ride through the picturesque hills of Marin and Sonoma County. I hope to see all my patients out there exercising, and staying healthy...

Your comments and suggestions are always welcome, and I look forward to assisting you in our emergency department should the need arise

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
