My Qualifications

I received my medical degree from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. I completed my residency and Pathology fellowship with Los Angeles County Harbor-University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center. I am board certified in Cytopathology, and Pathology-Anatomic and Clinical by the American Board of Pathology and joined the Permanente Medical Group in 2001.

I was born in India and raised in Southern California from the age of eleven. My education has taken me as far away as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Jacksonville, Florida. I moved to Sacramento and began my career at Kaiser Permanente in 2001.

As a Pathologist, I evaluate biopsies and other samples from all different parts of the human body to determine the disease process or confirm the clinical doctor's impression. I truly appreciate and enjoy working in Kaiser's collaborative environment.

I got married in 2004. In our spare time, my husband Mark and I enjoy the great outdoors, especially hiking, camping, and kyaking. We love all kinds of travel. To keep fit, we regularly play tennis, badminton, and golf.

An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
