I grew up in the Great Lakes and received my bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Penn State University. In a decade as a neonatal ICU, pediatric cardiac, and pediatric flight nurse, I had the opportunity to live in many cities throughout the country. In 2005, I settled in my wife’s native Northern California. Having experienced many parts of the country, I can say with confidence that Northern California has the best combination of climate and lifestyle available anywhere.
In addition to post-graduate training in anesthesia, I also have a master’s degree in, and am certified as, an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
I came to Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara in 2011 and am very happy to be a member of this outstanding team. My personal belief in a strong foundation in anesthetic principles and the provision of an individualized, multi-modal approach to a calming and comfortable experience for every patient has found a welcome home with this anesthesia group.
Outside of Kasier, I am a competitive cyclist, mountain biker, and triathlete. I enjoy hiking with my daughter and cooking. I am also an instructor and lecturer for the Program of Nurse Anesthesia at Samuel Merritt University.
