Welcome to my home page

I grew up in Bangkok, Thailand, and have had the privilege of practicing at Kaiser Permanente since 1981. I'm a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

While I was living in New York, I came to visit a friend who was going to school in Berkeley and found out that this was the place I wanted to live. I started out with private practice and I ended up spending most of my time with the business part. My friend during residency was working with Kaiser Permanente and he was much happier with his life. He asked me to try to work part time just to see how I felt, and I ended up joining Kaiser Permanente full time later on. I enjoy my practice at Kaiser Permanente because it affords me the opportunity to focus my time on practicing medicine and to educate and improve myself.

My Practice

I have a general orthopedic surgery practice. I also have particular interest in joint replacements. Our department sees patients on a referral basis. Your primary care physician will refer you over to us when they feel that you may need more specialised care. It will be very helpful if you come in prepared with some plan and questions. Some of my patients came to my office after they reviewed websites regarding their problems. You can also look up information of some common conditions in this website.

Thank you for visiting my website and along the way I will add on some more information to make your visits in our office more helpful for you.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
