Welcome to My Internet Home Page

Greetings! Welcome to my Home Page!

I am a staff physician at the Emergency Department of Kaiser Permanente Manteca Medical Center. I am proud to be a member of such an outstanding department and the medical group here at Kaiser Permanente Central Valley. I hope that we can always provide high quality of care and service to you.

About Me

I was born and raised in Northern California. When I was a child, we never had a primary care doctor, my parents used to take me to the Emergency Room when I got sick. My mother told me I once said to her that I wanted to become a doctor when I grew up. Now that I have grown up, I want to do something that is worth doing; I really enjoy the experience in the Emergency Room which interested me to pursue my career in this field.

I obtained my medical degree at Saint George’s University, Grenada, West Indies. I then completed my internship and residency in Emergency Medicine at Louisiana State University, New Orleans, LA.

Being a Kaiser Permanente member myself, I have been very satisfied with the service. Also, Kaiser Permanente is a well-established organization in Northern California and it provides benefits and a secured job environment for me and my family. More important, the organization focuses on preventive care which I agree with. My medical interests are Preventive Medicine and Trauma Care.

Moving to Central Valley is because of the easy access to the nature and to many outdoor activities which I enjoy. I also like the climate of the area, the community of great people and the diversity of cultures.

I am married and have a daughter. My hobbies include bike riding, reading and kayaking.

My Philosophy of Care

Medical Emergencies present unique challenges as the patient, physician and often members of the patient’s family are meeting for the first time and usually under very stressful circumstances. In order to provide the best possible care for my patients, I strive toward achieving the following ideals in my practice: Compassion, Listening, Respect, Cultural Sensitivity, Efficiency, Problem-Focused Care and finally, Timely and Appropriate Follow-Up.

Thank you for visiting my home page. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome. I look forward to meeting you and caring for you and your family when a medical emergency brings you to our hospital.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
