Welcome to My Home Page!

I began my career as Psychiatric social worker on the East Coast in 1972 and have been working in the Mental Health Dept at Kaiser Permanente, Martinez since 1994. I enjoy my job at Kaiser Permanente as it allows me the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people from a broad range of diagnostic categories including anxiety disorders, depression and substance abuse. I believe everyone has the power to make changes that can benefit their mood, functioning and relationships. My motto is "Determination defines Destiny'. It is very rewarding to assist others in identifying and working through the obstacles that affect their happiness and success. My professional training is psychodynamic, combined with a practical "here and now" approach. I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, cooking and traveling.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
