Welcome to My Home Page!

Thank you for taking time to visit my home page. You can use this page as a way to learn more about me and as a way to access online health information. The Department of Physical Therapy has highlighted some topics for you in the navigation bar.

About Me

I am a native of Luebeck, Germany, and graduated from the Academy of Physical Therapy in Lahr in 1988. My decision to become a Physical Therapist was influenced by my own personal experience as a patient and my therapist whom I very much admired. I moved to the United States in the early nineties and have been holding a California License since 1993.

Working for Kaiser Permanente for more than a decade now has been a great learning experience. I feel very fortunate to be working with a diverse group of people as well as an outstanding team of Physical Therapists.

The interaction with my patients is what I enjoy the most in my practice. I like helping my patients with functional problems and improving overall health and fitness. My professional interests include teaching Back Care Classes and I am currently working on a fellowship in the field of tempromandibular disorders (TMD).

An important aspect of my life includes my family and friends. Most of my free time is spent with my husband and our two daughters. I love to read, I enjoy cooking and working out, and recently developed an interest in Art and painting.

My Education and Credentials

Physical Therapy Education BS from DA Academy for Physiotherapy, Lahr, Germany
Licensure Physical Therapy Board of California
Advanced Training Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Australian Approach, Walnut Creek, CA

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
