My Medical Background

I was born in Van Nuys, California and raised in San Leandro, California. During college, I decided to become a physical therapist after having a wonderful experience as a patient in physical therapy. I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 1999 and since then have been an active member of the Physical Therapy Department as a Licensed Physical Therapist as well as a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. I like working for Kaiser Permanente because they allow me to treat my patients using my own philosophies and beliefs. I believe in making rehabilitation as fun as possible and including my patients in setting goals and a plan for recovery. My specialty areas include ACL Repairs, Neurological Dysfunctions, and General Orthopedics. I am married, have one daughter, and enjoy playing golf, basketball, the cello, and working on computers. I am fluent in English and know medical/conversational Spanish. Please feel free to browse the links of the lefthand side of the page to learn more about Kaiser Permanente, our Physical Therapy department, and some of the injuries we treat.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
