My Practice Philosophy
My goal is to assist you in making the informed decisions about your care and to provide the best possible care to you.
About Me
I am from Seattle, a beautiful area with a lot of rain. I received my undergraduate degree (BS) in medical technology and my professional degree (DDS) from the University of Washington. I went on to receive my medical degree (MD) from the University of Texas School of Medicine in Houston (2006) where I graduated from the top 15% of my class and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society. I stayed on to complete my Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery training which included general surgery internship and plastic surgery rotations. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente in 2009, I was in a community practice in Washington State and was an affiliate instructor at the University of Washington Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Currently, I am involved in teaching Stanford Plastic surgery residents during their rotation to our service. To keep abreast of the latest developments in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, I have attended numerous medical and dental conferences. I have published several scientific articles in the Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and have given instructional courses.
My Interests
I am a board certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who has a particular interest in orthognathic, facial trauma and reconstructive surgery. During my leisure time, I enjoy running, playing tennis and spending time with my wife and 2 children. In addition to English, I speak Vietnamese.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
