I attended University of Hawaii, Hilo and California State University, Hayward where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Masters degree in Kinesiology. I received my Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. I did my Doctorate residency at Kaiser Foundation Rehabilitation Center, Vallejo focusing on treating the neurological/trauma patient population. Following my residency, I stayed at Kaiser Vallejo Rehab Center as a Staff Therapist treating the stroke and spinal cord injury patient population. To round out my skills, I also did a year long Maitland-Australian approach manual therapy course appropriate for orthopedic and sports related injuries. My experience as an exercise physiologist and physical therapist ranges from professional/collegiate athletes to stroke and brain injury patients. I strongly believe active participation is the most important component to patients’ rehabilitation and recovery. My mission is to assist patients in maximizing their efforts to achieve their rehab goals and to provide the best care patients can receive. When I am not working, I am out in the water doing Hawaiian outrigger canoe paddling competitively. I want to make certain all your concerns are addressed. If you forgot to ask a question during a visit, you may email me by clicking on the link for E-mail Your Doctor or leave me a message on my direct line at (408) 851-1467. Please be sure to include your medical record number so we can access your records quickly.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
