My Biography

I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from Northeastern University in Boston in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, I received my Medical Degree from the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine in Worcester in 1980 and continued my training with an internship and residency at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut in 1983. I am Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Prior to joining The Permanente Medical Group in 1988, I was on the Medical Staff of St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Connecticut and Humana Hospital in San Leandro, California. I currently play an active administrative role within the Emergency Department.

I am married with three children. I enjoy golf, skiing and basketball.
