Welcome to my home page! I am a pediatric occupational therapist (OT), a specialty I chose because of my passion for working with children. As a pediatric OT, I assess and treat a child’s functioning for the “jobs of living” including playing, eating and dressing with the goal of maximum functioning and independence at home, in the community and school.

I joined Kaiser Oakland in October 2010 to become part a team of talented interdisciplinary colleagues. I am thrilled to be a part of an organization that is a leader in the health care field. My 12+ years of practice include 11 years as a school based OT, private practice and employment and training at a children’s hospital. My former career as an architect was also "child-friendly" having the opportunity to work in a firm specializing in children’s environments, playgrounds and accessible design.

I was born and raised in the SF Bay Area and relish in all that it has to offer. When I am not working, I stay active enjoying running, triathlons, Bay swimming, kayaking and many other adventures that include fresh air and friends. I also am fortunate to have my life enriched by 7 inspiring nieces and nephews. I look forward to working with you and your family.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
