Welcome to My Internet Home Page

Welcome to my home page! I am pleased to be able to offer you direct links and information to valuable and helpful health information.

About Me

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in both Psychology and Social Work at California State University, Chico, CA. Thereafter, I received my Master of Social Work at San Francisco State University, San Francisco, CA. I am a Clinical Social Worker, licensed by the State of California as a counselor and psychotherapist (LCS #15322) since November 1990.

I joined Kaiser Permanente's Early Start Program in July 2005. I started with Kaiser Permanente Modesto in March 2003 as a case manager. I am excited to be working in Women’s Health, offering and providing services and support to women and their families on health related issues.

My work with adults, children, couples and families spans over 20 years. I have work in a variety of settings, which include neonatal intensive care units, post-partum, psychiatric hospitals, home health, hospice, long term care, trauma care, bioethics and private counseling.

My husband and I enjoy raising our three energetic sons in the Central Valley, taking advantage of the warm summers for water activities and park excursions. We also love to escape to the Santa Cruz Mountain Redwoods for camping trips, and the Bay Area to visit family and friends. However, the majority of our time is spent at home with activities centered around day to day family life, homework, skateboarding, reading, PS 2 and monster trucks (the toy ones!).

My Philosophy of Care

I believe that medical care is best provided by a team approach where professionals from different disciplines come together and use their combined expertise to provide the highest possible quality of care for individuals and families. I feel fortunate to be at Kaiser Permanente because they value this team approach.

Thank you for visiting my home page. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome and I look forward to seeing you.

Select a personal physician - An important part of your health care experience at Kaiser Permanente includes building a relationship with your personal physician. If you haven't already selected one or want to change, click here to choose a personal physician for yourself or for a family member.

*What it means to be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker:

To become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a person must graduate with their Master’s Degree from an accredited university. He or she must take additional training in areas such as: alcoholism and other chemical substance dependency, human sexuality, partner abuse detection and intervention and child abuse. After completing graduate school, a licensee must also complete 3200 hours of supervised experience and pass a written exam and an oral exam before becoming licensed. The licensee must take continuing education courses every two years.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
