Hello…my name is Patty Chan, MA,OTR and I am an occupational therapist here at Kaiser Permanente in Redwood City. I work in outpatient clinic on Tuesdays and Inpatient on Thursdays and Fridays.

I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology at UC Davis and my Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University.

I chose a career in occupational therapy because I enjoy helping people reach their goals to becoming independent in their daily lives again. The areas of interest that I enjoy in my field include: neuromuscular disease and cognitive rehab.

When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my husband and my 2 kids. I also like to cook and bake and learn new recipes from the Food Channel

Please use this web page to better understand who I am and how I like to practice. You will also find links to what Physical Therapy is, exercise regimens, and helpful health education information.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
