Hi, I'm one of the Registered Nurses here at Kaiser Permanente in Vacaville, and I'm also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#MFC 39233). I was born and raised in eastern Canada and speak English and French. I have three grown children and a bunch of grandchildren that I enjoy immensely.

I graduated from Nursing in 1974 and spent 13 years working in Cardiac Intensive Care Nursing, Cardiac Rehabilitation, then as Coordinator of Cardiac Research at the University of Alberta Hospital. In 1987 as part of a career change I completed an Associates Degree in Mental Health and Addiction Studies, and worked in the area of Dual Diagnosis (Psychiatric and addiction problems). I enjoyed working in Psychiatry and wanted to learn more.

Towards this new direction, I moved to California and completed my Bachelor of Arts in Health Services Administration, from St. Mary's College, Orinda, Ca. in 1993. My focus was on quality of healthcare delivery in the psychiatric setting. While completing my studies I worked at local hospitals and the Department of Veterans Affairs in Menlo Park.

In 1996 I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Marriage, Family and Child Counseling. I've worked in private practice and in health care clinics helping individuals and families cope with life's stresses. I also have advanced training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, to help patients resolve past trauma.

Here at Kaiser Vacaville I am part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of dedicated Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Nurses, and clerical workers who are focused on providing our clients with the best care possible.

Part of my job is to help clients understand and manage their illness, and assess that their medication is helping. I do that by educating people about medications, the intended effects and possible side effects. If you wish, it's sometimes helpful for family members to have more education about their loved ones illness and I'm willing to meet with them if this is indicated.

It's my privilege to be part of the Vacaville Psychiatry Team with consistently high client satisfaction ratings for Kaiser Permanente Northern California Region. I look forward to working with you.

Pat Woodbridge, RN, MFT

Reception (707) 453-5055 and ask to be connected to my line.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
