My Practice Philosophy
I believe practice of medicine is a privilege that should combine both art and science. My goal is to practice evidenced-based medicine, be your advocate, and help you make informed decision regarding your health.
About Me
I was born in Tehran/Iran then moved to the United States at age 15. I attended the University of California, Berkeley where I graduated with a BA in Molecular and Cell Biology in 1998. I received my medical education at St. George's University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies in 2006. I completed my internship at Highland Hospital from 2006-2007. I finished my residency at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara from 2007-2010. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2010. I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
My Interests
I am part of the American Medical Association Commonwealth Club of California and California Medical Association. On a personal note, I enjoy reading, cooking, scuba diving, snow boarding, swimming, salsa dancing, and traveling. In addition to English, I speak Farsi.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
