About Me

Immediately after highschool, I joined the Marine Corps and served 4yrs as an NCO. My last duty station was at Camp Pendleton and I decided to remain in Southern California and begin my studies. I went to Point Loma Nazarene and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. I worked at Children's Hospital of San Diego for 3 yrs. I then decided to continue my education and obtained a Master's Degree from CSU Fullerton. I settled in Orange County and worked for Kaiser Riverside for 6 yrs before transferring to Santa Rosa.

After completing my BSN I worked for 3yrs as a PICU nurse at Children's Hospital in San Diego. It was during this time that I decided to further my career and obtain a Master's Degree in Nursing. I enjoyed the acuity of the work but found the environment to be emotionally challenging at times. I wanted to find an area of Nursing that maintained my critical skills and still allowed for patient interaction which prompted me to choose Anesthesia.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
