Lastly, I believe in educating and empowering my patients so they can be active participants in the management of their health problem. Thank you for allowing me to participate in your care, I look forward to working with you.
Personal Tidbit
I was born in Hong Kong and spent my formative years there. At the age of 10, my family immigrated to the United States. I spent the next 12 years in the San Francisco Bay area. After graduating from UC Berkeley (GO BEARS!), I ventured to New York City to attend medical school at Cornell University. After four years of The Big Apple, I realized California was a much nicer place to live. So I packed up my clothes and books and headed for Southern California, where I completed my post-graduate training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. I also began my medical career in Los Angeles, California. In 1991, having grown tired of the congestion and the high cost of living in Los Angeles, I moved to Sacramento. I have been a member of the physician staff here at Kaiser South Sacramento since.
I am married with two young children. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. I also enjoy sports, reading, and gardening.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
