Welcome to My Home Page!

My name is Nitin Sil and I have recently started working as a hospital based physician at Kaiser Permanente in San Rafael. Prior to my arrival in San Rafael I worked in the same capacity at Kaiser Vallejo.

I became a doctor because I felt it would be an ideal way of applying the knowledge that I learned in both a social and educational level to assisting in the care of others. As a career choice, I feel that Kaiser Permanente embodies many of the ideals that I was taught during my training. I believe that the true care of the patient not only comes from addressing one's physical being, but also their emotional needs as well. Kaiser Permanente allows its doctors to be doctors, and gives us the space to treat our patients as if they were our own family. This philosophy, I feel, is further embraced through internal medicine where one is engaged in a host of different medical problems and with numerous social challenges.

We have a great collection of hospital based physicians in San Rafael and I'm excited to be here. Thanks for visiting me on the web.

My Credentials

Residency St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
