Welcome to my homepage!

Greetings! I am a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and very proud to be a part of the anesthesia team at the Kaiser Permanente’s Greater Southern Alameda Area. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2002, as an ICU and Emergency Room nurse, and I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of Kaiser Permanente since because I truly believe in Kaiser Permanente’s motto of "prevention and thrive"!

I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, and was a RN in Seoul for 5 years. I came to California after getting married, and I have two beautiful children. In my spare time, I love to play with my kids, travel with my family and watch movies.

My philosophy to patient care is based on a holistic and an individualized approach. Everybody is different and unique in so many ways, which requires individually planned anesthesia care, not cook book recipe. Also, we live in a very diverse community, ethnically and culturally, and I believe it is crucial for a health care provider to perceive every patient as a whole human being rather than the illnesses they have. I believe that we can better understand our patients' concerns if we view the patient as unique precious members of society, which will enable us to provide excellent and safe care to our clients.

Thank you for taking time to visit my home page.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
