Welcome to My Home Page

As your doctor, I understand how valuable your time is and I want to let you know how much I appreciate the time you take to be as healthy as you can be. To thank you for all your hard work, my colleagues and I have developed web sites to make it easier for you and your family to get answers to your questions and take care of many of your health care needs.

My Background

I am originally from New Delhi, India and that's where I grew up. I went to medical school at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College in Aligarh and graduated in 1998. I also completed a residency in internal medicine in 2002 and was practicing in India.

I came to the United States in 2003 as I wanted to learn more and practice state of the art medicine. I then pursued a residency in internal medicine at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago. I worked briefly as a research associate at the Chicago Association of Research and Education before I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2007.

Roles & Responsibilities

I enjoy working at Kaiser Permanente as it allows me to provide the best care for my patients and grow professionally with the support of a dedicated medical group and staff. Apart from my clinical duties I am also involved in the Roseville Sepsis and C-Difficle infection prevention initiatives.

On a Personal Note. . .

I got married in 2009. My husband is an engineer and he has introduced me to the world of technology and management that exists beyond medicine. We enjoy hiking and cooking together.

My parents and my elder sister are back in India and they visit us every other year. I love showing them around the United States and we have been to most of the national parks in or around California. My younger sister is in Ohio and she is my biggest critic. She is pursuing a doctorate in genetics and constantly updates my knowledge of the upcoming trends and innovations in medicine and science.

I am a nature lover and an amateur hiker. I love to travel and explore new places whenever I get the time. Reading and yoga help me relax on a stressful day. I also enjoy browsing to keep up with current affairs.

Be sure to visit the Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes and other health-related topics. You can also click on my department link above to receive additional health information.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
