Welcome to Physical Therapy at Kaiser Santa Clara. I’m looking forward to working with you and would like to introduce myself. I was born and raised in southern California, then moved north to attend college. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2001. I then worked in Human Resources at a biotechnology company for 3.5 years before returning to school. I earned my Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Physical Therapy from a combined program through the University of California, San Francisco and San Francisco State University in 2009 and 2010. I have also been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2007. I joined the Physical Therapy Department here in Santa Clara in June 2010. In addition to seeing patients individually, I teach the Spinal Conditioning Class, which is exercise-based to address low back pain. Overall, I think the human body and how it functions is fascinating. No one body is exactly like another, therefore I will try to tailor your home program based on realistic expectations and your preferences. I am excited to assist you with your rehabilitation. I enjoy cycling, soccer, and snowboarding when I am outside of the clinic. I also love food and homemade sweets. Your health and fitness are of great importance, so please take the opportunity to explore the resources available at www.kp.org. I encourage you to contact me at (408) 851-1412 for any questions or concerns you may have regarding physical therapy.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
