My Qualifications

I received my medical degree from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and completed my residency with the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 1999.

I have always had a special interest in adolescent health care. I am the Director of Kaiser's Adolescent OB/GYN clinic. I am also an active member of the Committee of Adolescent Health Care with the American College of OB/GYN and the National Organization of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.

I am an Assistant Clinical Professor of ObGyn at the UC Davis Medical Center. I am currently participating in a study with UCSF evaluating the natural history of the Human papillomavirus in the adolescent population.

My Healthcare Practice

I enjoy the variety in my practice with patients ranging from age 2 to 102. So many illnesses women (young and old) face are preventable. I view my job as an extremely unique opportunity to intervene in my patient's lives and help make it better-for now and their future!

One of the things I appreciate in my job at Kaiser is that there is a wealth of resources for patients. I also enjoy the freedom to practice medicine without monetary constraints.

I have the privilege to work closesly with amazing collegues in our specialty as well as many other specialties such as Medicine, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Surgery, Pediatrics and Radiology. I have been able to maintain some of the educational parts of my training that I value, such as clinical research and teaching the residents from UC Davis.

My favorite extracurricular activities:

Spending time with my kids, running, photography, and satisfying my love for chocolate!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
