My Biography

I was born in Ukraine and for as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a doctor. I completed medical school in Russia and practiced medicine for some years before I came to the United States. I completed my residency at the Jewish Hospital/University of Cincinnati and I am delighted to be working in San Francisco, where I use my language skills to serve the Russian community.

I am proud to be working at Kaiser Permanente. The collaboration between physicians and other members of the health care team leads to outstanding care for patients. I enjoy teaching patients more about their health conditions, how to keep themselves healthy, and how to thrive.

I am especially interested in women's health issues and obesity. I serve as weight management director for the San Francisco facility. I also teach and percept residents in the outpatient setting.

Away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters. Together we enjoy travel, dancing and figure skating.

Other Languages: Russian, Ukranian
Professional Affiliations: American College of Physicians; American Medical Association

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
