My Biography

Hello and welcome to my home page. Let me tell you a little about myself. I was born in Tennessee, but grew up in Texas, in the Dallas area. I loved living in Texas, but after spending the better part of my life there, I decided it was time for a change. So, I moved to the Bay Area in 2004, when I joined The Permanente Medical Group. I worked in Hayward for four years before deciding to move closer to home in San Francisco where my wife and I live.

One of the reasons I chose to work in pediatrics was the opportunity to not only participate in the care of children, but also to watch them grow. I think it is very important that you as a patient or parent feel comfortable in the treatments that are administered. That's why I like to have open discussions with parents as well as patients, and always involve you in the decision-making process.

In addition to working in the pediatric clinic, I also specialize in sports medicine. I've always loved sports, especially soccer, which I played in both high school and college. I still play now, although not nearly as well (or as fast) as I used to. I've been called a sports fanatic by some (my wife!), but I like to think of it as a passion. Sports medicine allows me to combine my passion for sports and medicine. I thoroughly enjoy helping kids continue physical activity, whether it be on the high school football team or in the backyard at home.
