About Me
I was born in Amman, Jordan. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I work in the eating disorder pathway in the Roseville Department of Psychiatry.
The Adult Outpatient Eating Disorders Program offers a multidisciplinary approach to treat adults diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Eating Disorder, NOS. The program is designed for individuals who have a low to moderate level of acuity of their illness and is available at the psychiatry departments in Sacramento and Roseville.
The goals of treatment include helping adult patients normalize their eating patterns, learn new coping skills, practice self-care and address underlying issues that led to the development of their eating disorder. Patients will undergo an assessment with the program therapist and registered nurse. Medication will be managed with the program psychiatrist or nurse practitioner and a registered dietician will assess and provide medical nutrition therapy. Patients will be provided with individual, family and/or group psychotherapy as deemed necessary according to individualized treatment plans.
Languages: English and Arabic
I enjoy reading, hiking and traveling.
