Welcome to my home page!

I'm thrilled to be part of the talented team of caregivers in the Emergency Departments of the Hayward and Fremont Medical Centers. After growing up in the Bay Area, I left for the (cold and snowy) frontiers of Cleveland, Ohio for medical school, and Hartford, Connecticut for my residency training in Emergency Medicine. While in both places I cultivated my interest in medical ethics, which is my main focus outside of my regular clinical work. I'm excited to now be back in sunny Northern California and to be working for Kaiser.

I know that a trip to the emergency department can be one of the most stressful times in your life, and one of my goals is to make your time in the ED as comfortable as possible.

When not working, I enjoy camping, cycling, kayaking, and home improvement projects.

My Credentials

Medical school Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Cleveland, OH
Residency University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Farmington, CT

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
