My Healthcare Practice

I specialize in providing care to premature infants and term newborns with complications and chronic conditions. I find it challenging and rewarding to be able to help infants and their families through what may be one of the hardest times in their lives.

My Credentials

Medical school UC Davis School of Medicine, Davis, CA
Internship UC Davis Medical Center, Sacramento, CA
Residency UC Davis Medical Center, Sacramento, CA
Fellowship UC Davis Medical Center, Sacramento, CA
Board certification Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, American Board of Pediatrics

My Medical Education and Training

Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente in 2003, I obtained a Ph.D. and was involved in the molecular analysis of the Simian Immunodeficiency Virus (SIV) which is highly related to HIV. I found that clinical medicine was much more rewarding to me - more of a passion than an occupation, especially in the field of pediatrics. I therefore switched gears and received my medical degree from the University of California Davis School of Medicine and went on to complete my pediatrics residency and neonatology fellowship at the University of California Davis Medical Center.

Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

Kaiser Permanente has a well-integrated team of physicians that provide comprehensive, high quality care, with an emphasis on the best care and not on the costs.

Outside Interests

My husband and I are busy trying to raise three children, two dogs, one cat and one bird. When possible, I try to get in some fly-fishing, photography and hiking.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
