Welcome to Physical Therapy! I look forward to working with you, and I thought it might be helpful to provide information on my background, as well as how best to contact me.
I am the third generation in my family born and raised in Santa Clara County. In fact, my daughters and I were all born at Kaiser, Santa Clara. I grew up in South San Jose, enjoying both school and activities. I earned a B.S. Degree in Exercise Science at UC Davis in 1995 as a Regent Scholar. In 1997, I earned a Master of Physical Therapy Degree at UCSF. Highlights of my academic career include earning the UCSF Physical Therapy Fellowship and the California Chapter American Physical Therapy Association Scholarship.
Professionally, I am a licensed physical therapist, and I joined the staff at Kaiser, Santa Clara in 1997 after having a fantastic experience interning at Kaiser, Fremont. I have advanced my clinical skills by completing many professional education courses, including a yearlong manual therapy training course.
On a more personal note, I am married and have three young daughters. I enjoy walking, laughing, being outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends. I hope to return to backpacking and doing more running again as my daughters get older.
I feel that good communication is the key to any relationship. If you have questions or concerns, please contact me at my voicemail extension (408) 851-1485 or through secure messaging. If you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact the receptionist at (408) 851-1400.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
