My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am an emergency medicine physician in the North Valley and split my clinical time between the Sacramento and Roseville campuses. Emergency medicine was the perfect specialty choice for me as I have always been drawn to acute and emergent aspects of medical care and this was also a natural transition from my prior career as a paramedic

My Practice Philosophy

I believe in providing the best emergency care possible in the least stressful way I can. I strive to not only treat your medical condition but also to provide you with peace of mind.

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I have had the opportunity to work exclusively at Kaiser Permanente since 2009 and prior to that was able to work within Kaiser both as a resident physician while completing my specialty training and as a part time physician.

Kaiser Permanente allows me to provide my patients with amazingly comprehensive care and I find it invaluable to be able to arrange immediate diagnostic tests and arrange for specialty care and referrals. I could not imagine a more ideal place to work.

Professional Interests & Affiliations

Having been a paramedic prior to becoming a physician I have a particular interest in EMS (Emergency Medical Services) and am one of the EMS liaisons for my Emergency Medicine group. This allows me to stay closely involved with our local Paramedics through education, feedback and oversight.

Be sure to visit the Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes and other health-related topics. You can also click on my department link above to receive additional health information.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
