SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Languages Spoken

I am fluent in English, Bengali and Hindi.

Welcome to My Home Page!

I have worked as a speech language pathologist for over six years. I joined Kaiser Permanente in the month of March 2009.

I was born and raised in Calcutta, India. I completed my education in speech language pathology in India. My parents have been my constant driving force to achieve what seems, unachievable.

In 2002, after getting married to my high school sweetheart, I moved to Fresno. I am the proud mother of two beautiful children. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My hobbies are interior decorating and cooking.

My Special Interests

My special interests include Dysphagia (swallowing disorders) management and Dysphonia (voice disorders) management. I also provide assessment and treatment for speech, language and cognitive disorders.

Practice Philosophy

I chose speech language pathology because I believe communication is the key ingredient in the chicken soup for every soul. In my role as a speech language pathologist, I hope to help my clients become better communicators and to enjoy and participate more fully in social communication. Kaiser Permanente allows me to help my clients to “Thrive in Communication.”

Educational Background

An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
