My Biography

I came to Kaiser Permanente after completing my residency, chief residency and fellowship at UCSF. I enjoy working at Kaiser Permanente because of the integrated health care model. Referrals are seamless, and patients can have their lab work performed on-site. Kaiser Permanente’s system provides patients with excellent primary care. Due to our terrific monitoring service, very few things fall through the cracks.

I see a broad array of cases during the course of my work, but I have a special interest in sonograms and CT, especially in body imaging. I help myself keep current in my field by attending professional annual conferences such as the American College of Radiology and the American Roentgen Ray Society.

During my spare time I enjoy oil painting and reading fiction. Two of my favorite authors are Octavia E. Butler and Toni Morrison. To THRIVE, I often visit a local farmers’ market on a weekly basis.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
