My Biography

Joined Kaiser Permanente Medical Group: 2000

During my clinical rotation in ophthalmology as a medical student at Columbia University, I had my first close look at the human eye, which is a complex, beautiful structure. Observing how sight could be improved by eye surgery made a lasting impression on me. I knew quickly that I wanted to spend my career as an ophthalmologist.

I treat medical and surgical eye problems. Since joining the staff of Kaiser South San Francisco in 2000, I have enjoyed the cultural diversity of this medical facility and feel privileged to be working beside such talented, caring colleagues.

As an Ophthalmologist, I take appointments by referral. If you do not already have a referral, please call our appointment/advice line at (650) 742-2100 to make an appointment with a general practitioner. To make an appointment in our sub-specialty department, please call (650) 301-5800.

Our goal at Kaiser Permanente is to be your health plan of choice and deliver the quality medical care our members deserve. Thank you again for choosing Kaiser Permanente.

An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
