My Background
I obtained a Doctorate degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) with honors from the Five Branches University, San Jose, California specializing in pain managment, and women's health. I am an associate professor at the Five Branches University teaching advanced acupuncture therapeutics to graduate students. I have been a Licensed Acupuncturist since 1997. I also have a Ph.D. degree in Pyschology albeit my main interest and passion is practicing acupuncture.
About Me
My lifelong passion is to always study, learn, and obtain deeper understanding of Oriental Medicine, and other forms of healing. I have taken (and still do) apprenticeship with different masters of Oriental Medicine throughout years providing me with additional on-hand training. The style of acupuncture I employ is based on using minimum number of needles while still providing maximum pain relief.
I feel very fortunate to be in a position to help and serve others at a health care setting. At Kaiser Permanente, I have the opportunity to both focus on helping others, and learn and thrive in my chosen field of specialty.
My Recommendations
There are many resources at Kaiser Permanente to help you take an active role in your own healing journey. I encourage you to take advantage of resources, such as Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Kong, meditation, and other relaxation classes.
