Welcome. I am Mohammad Kordouni, MD. I am pleased to offer my home page as a means to introduce myself and to provide you with high quality health information through useful handouts and helpful web links.

As a hospital-based physician, I do not see patients in a clinic setting. My focus is your care while hospitalized. All in-patient conditions are complicated. I especially like the challenge of finding the main cause you are in the hospital and any underlying conditions as well. Your care will be coordinated with your primary care physician, any specialists, and myself. I strive to help you return to the highest quality of life, if possible.

My Credentials

Medical school Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences School of Medicine, Tehran, Iran
Residency Chicago Medical School, University of The Health Sciences, North Chicago, IL
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

In addition to my training in Internal Medicine, I also graduated with a sub-specialty in Gastroenterology. My brother will soon graduate with a specialty in Family Medicine. I am a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
