My Biography
I am part of a team of colleagues in the Head Neck Surgery & Audiology department, where we work together to decide what is best for our patients. Through special training and continuing education we keep current with the latest technology, state-of-the-art equipment, and with what is new in the field of audiology. Every patient is treated as an individual and gets customized healthcare based on his or her needs. One of the best aspects of Kaiser Permanente’s model is easy access to qualified providers within close proximity. Referrals to these professionals are only a click away.
My priority is to help others maximize their quality of life through better communication. Once hearing loss is diagnosed, I spend a significant amount of time with each patient and develop a long-term relationship with each one. My interests include new amplification technology. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, I worked as a marketing and research audiologist at InSound Medical, Inc. for Lyric Hearing. I specialized in pediatrics at a Women & Children’s Hospital in Oahu, Hawaii and was the lead audiologist at the satellite clinic. I performed balance assessment and was a founding member of the cochlear implant team, working as the mapping audiologist.
I enjoy traveling, socializing, reading, hiking, running, volunteering, guitar, and yoga. As keeping fit and healthy is important to me, I work out at least five days a week and have fun doing it; balancing the different activities of running, lifting weights, rock climbing, biking, yoga, or CrossFit.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
