Welcome to My Internet Home Page

Weclome! My name is Michael Davis, PTA. Thank you for visiting my home page and get to know a little bit about me and the department of Physical Therapy. I hope I can provide you with the best possible care for your Physical Therapy needs.

About Me

I have lived and worked in Modesto all my life. I attended school locally at Downey High School, Modesto Junior College and California State University, Stanislaus. I started in a private outpatient clinic in Modesto in 1979. I received my Physical Therapy Assistant license in 1980 and continued to work in the outpatient environment until coming to Kaiser Permanente in September 2006.

I have been fortunate, with the help of my lovely wife, to raise three wonderful children whom are all still in the Modesto area. I have taken up the sport of golf in the last few years and found it to be both relaxing and a good tool for shoulder rehabilitation.

My Philosophy of Care

I love seeing the gains my patients make in their recovery. It is amazing how an injury can turn the little things in life into challenges. Helping people return to their normal daily activities is gratifying. I take the team approach and consistency is a big factor in your recovery. I like to develop a home exercise program that is easy to follow. It must be one that is used each day by the patient to achieve the goals we are shooting for. Together we will be able to achieve the results that are needed to return to the game.

Thank you for visiting my home page. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome and I look forward to seeing you.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
