I am pleased to offer my home page as a means to introduce myself and also to provide you with high-quality health information through useful handouts and helpful web links. Welcome!
My Qualifications
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I started working for Kaiser in the Spring of 2005. Prior to my employment at Kaiser, I have worked in a variety of social service settings providing counseling services to children, adolescents, and famlies. I have also worked in private practice and had the privilege to work with a variety of individuals and families, including children with autistic spectrum disorders. While working in a county alcohol, drug, and mental health program, I worked with women in varius stages of addiction.
My Professional Interests
I am particularly interested in women's issues, specifically issues relating to pregnant and parenting women. I feel fortunate to work for the Early Start Program that emphasizes prevention of tobacco, alcohol, and drug-related complications. It is a rewarding process to be able to see a woman progress through her pregnancy and to be able to support a positive birth outcome.
My Personal Interests
I am originally from the Midwest, and I must say I have enjoyed the California weather. I have also been fortuante to experience firsthand two pregnancies and births in the Kaiser Ob/Gyn Department. I spend the majority of my free time with my family, specifically my two young daughters and husband.
