In addition to my training in emergency medicine, I also specialize in Toxicology, a medical discipline that provides expertise treatment of poisonings and overdoses. I feel privileged to be part of Kaiser Permanente and I look forward to providing service to the surrounding community.
My Background
I grew up in San Jose and attended University of California, Santa Barbara. After working as a Research Scientist for a couple of years, I realized my passion was in medicine. I decided to stay close to home and attended an Osteopathic Medical School in San Francisco/Vallejo. I went on to Albert Einstein for my training in Emergency Medicine and ultimately back to UCSD Medical Center for my Toxicology Fellowship. Feeling home sick, I decided to return back to San Jose and worked at the Trauma Center at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center prior to joining Kaiser Permanente. However, my passion to provide specialized care in both Emergency Medicine and Toxicology brought me to Kaiser San Jose.
My Interests
I enjoy spending time with my family and wife when I am not working. In our free time, we try to explore the city and partake in interesting festivities. Whenever possible, we also try to travel to new places whether near or afar. Since my wife and I both enjoy foods, we always look forward to trying unique but flavorful restaurants.
My Recommendations
Eat well, exercise often, keep up with the recommended annual health check-ups, and enjoy each day!
