How to Use My Home Page...

My Biography

I first began in social work in 1976 working on a crisis hotline, and went on to work in the areas of children's services, mental health, and developmental disabilities prior to coming to Kaiser Permanente. This includes work in both residential and community settings. I have a Master of Social Work degree from California State University, Sacramento.

As your social worker, I can meet with you and your family to discuss your current situation, needs, and preferences for care. Together we can consider the available options to meet your needs, maintain as much quality of life as possible given your medical condition, and explore what resources may be needed to support your choices and keep you safe. There are community resources available to help with care giving, transportation, living options, and other needs, but finding and accessing them can be complex. I am here to assist you in that process.

I work as a team with your nurse practitioner, and we are supervised by a medical doctor. Our shared goal is to serve you.

Joined Kaiser Permanente: 1997

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
