Greetings from the Anesthesia Department at Kaiser Permanente San Jose. I would like to welcome you not only to the Kaiser system, but also to the dedicated operating room personnel that are committed in taking excellent care of you during your operative stay. The doctors, nurses, and medical assistants have your best interest in mind when it comes to your medical and surgical care, and I would like to affirm to you that so do I.

Background

I am originally a Midwesterner. I moved out here for my formal medical training. Not being a native of the Bay Area, I am constantly amazed by the diversity and multicultural environment of Northern California (as well as the outstanding weather). One of the unique facets of Kaiser Permanente San Jose is that its staff mirrors the diversity of the community. It is a characteristic that I hope fosters confidence and comfort in your care at Kaiser Permanente San Jose. Finally, I hope to be able to contribute to the terrific crew of diverse colleagues we have at Kaiser Permanente San Jose.

Recommendations

My goals as your physician is to inform you fully of your options in having a safe, efficient, and effective anesthetic for your surgery and more importantly, performing that anesthetic to the best possible capacity. The anesthesia for your surgery begins not only in the operating room, but also beforehand where you are informed of the options for your anesthetic and also where your questions are answered. Feel free the check the anesthesia website where you can find more information in regards to anesthesia or contact the hospital directly. Again welcome to the Anesthesia Department at Kaiser Permanente San Jose.

My Credentials

Internship Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, San Jose, CA

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
