Greetings! Welcome to my web page!

About Me

I was born in Cleveland, OH and raised in Stockton, CA. I received my BS degree in Biology at the University of California, Davis. I went abroad to the University of the East Medical Center in the Philippines, where I received my medical degree. I completed my internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and completed my Anesthesiology residency at Loyola University Stritch Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.

Personally, my interests include spending time with my wife Athena and my daughter Alexis. I also enjoy golfing, cycling, and music.

My Philosophy of Care

The anesthesia aspect of surgery can be very stressful to many patients, more so, than the surgery itself. Simply by speaking with an anesthesiologist and discussing an appropriate and safe anesthetic plan will answer many questions and relieve many anxieties experienced before surgery.

I am privileged to belong to such a fine and highly competent group of anesthesiologists, all of whom work together towards one primary goal: to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all patients during the peri-operative period.

Our entire Anesthesiology Department and I want to be certain that all of your concerns are addressed. If you forget to ask a question during your pre-operative office visit, please call us at (916) 973-7696.

Thank you again for viewing my web page!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
