To My Patients:

Welcome to my internet home page. I’m Dr. Michael Reitz. I began my career in the Northern California Kaiser Permanente Region on April 23,1990. I began this adventure totally unfamiliar with the Central Valley of California. I was looking forward to the opportunity of pioneering a radiology practice for the small, and only 5-year old, Stockton facility.

I was attracted to this position because it offered the unique opportunity to build a new clinical radiology practice. I look back with fondness to 1993 when we moved into a new radiology department on our present campus. We have had the joy of recruiting many talented technologists, receptionists, file room clerks, nurses, managers and radiologists.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Southern California. I had the unique opportunity to attend medical school at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara (La Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara-medicine) in Mexico where I received my medical degree. I completed an internship at the Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center. I completed my residency in radiology at the Los Angeles County King/Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles. Prior to Stockton, I was an assistant professor of radiology at the King/Drew Medical Center. I am a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roetgen Ray Society and the San Joaquin Medical Society. I have practiced in Stockton for over 15 years. I can’t imagine being more satisfied than on my Kaiser Permanente Central Valley team.

My Philosophy of Care

The guiding principle under which I practice is to treat each of my patients as if they were my wife or children. I endeavor to provide my best in service, access, quality and breadth of radiologic care on a daily basis. I am also committed and focused on delivering this level of care in our radiology departments across our entire service area.

My patients are welcome to call me in my personal office at 209 476-3957. You will almost always be greeted by my voicemail because I’m usually outside of my office with patients. Leave a message or press 0 and then, the # sign, to speak with my staff.

Other languages:

I can speak Spanish too!
