Welcome to my Home Page

While working closely with adults in an Acquired Brain Injury Program during my undergraduate education at University of California, Irvine, I developed a great enthusiasm for Speech-Language Pathology. Since then, my experiences have allowed me to work with numerous types of people with speech and/or language needs, including adults who have suffered strokes or brain injuries, children with language delays and/or articulation needs, and children with moderate to severe developmental disabilities. I have also had the opportunity to gain experience in many types of settings, including public schools, an outpatient community clinic, and skilled nursing facilities, though a majority of my career thus far has been spent in the in-patient hospital setting with acutely ill adult patients.

As a new member of the Kaiser Permanente team, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to practice in a setting that holds the same values I do: my patients and their families. Everyday, I am given the remarkable opportunity to spend time with people who are suffering from a communication and/or swallowing disorder, listen to their needs, and assist them in reaching the communication goals that matter to them. Whether it's returning back to work, calling a family member on the phone, or eating their favorite piece of pizza, helping patients reach their unique goals is why I became and continue to value being a Speech-Language Pathologist.

My Credentials

I received my Master's of Science in Communicative Disorders from San Francisco State University and completed my Clinical Fellowship Year at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Currently I hold a California State License in Speech-Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
