Welcome To My Home Page

As a physical therapist I believe that my role is to provide treatment for musculoskeletal dysfunction and also to educate patients about self care. When a patient leaves therapy, my goal is that the individual is independent in a home exercise program. Helping my patients understand their underlying condition is an integral part of their rehabilitation. I am very excited when patients realize that success depends on their active participation in therapy.

I specialize in the treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction. For many, I have been working in the field of occupational (work related) injury and have developed a special interest in ergonomics and injury prevention. Ergonomics is the study of creating a working environment that is safe and compatible for workers.

Communication with other health professionals is excellent with KP’s electronic medical record system. We are able to obtain medical records right away, and check the notes and test results in a timely manner. Those of us who work for Kaiser Permanente know that this is a great working environment!

Outside of work, I spend time with my family and attend my kids sporting events. I am a San Francisco Giants fan and love to catch a home game during baseball season. Other hobbies include gardening, cooking, snow skiing and walking.

Over the course of my career as a PT, I’ve worked in a hospital setting, private outpatient clinic and now here at Kaiser. I have taken numerous continuing education courses to keep current on my skills and challenge myself. I am very experienced in treating conditions related to the spine and extremities, as well as repetitive strain injury. I am certified in the area of Ergonomic Assessment.

Patients should take advantage of the communication with their provider with the kp.org email system at Kaiser.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
