About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker certified by the Board of Behavioral Sciences and belong to the California Society for Clinical Social Workers. I am a Subject Matter Expert for the Board of Behavioral Sciences. My graduate training was completed in 1979 with a Masters degree from Ohio State University. I have worked with diverse populations in a variety of settings. I have been at Kaiser Permanente since October 1995.

I provide intensive case management services to NapaSolano Kaiser Permanente members, who are psychiatric hospital recidivists, have difficulty accessing services and are high risk for continued hospitalizations. My mission is to make sure that these Kaiser Permanente members are receiving and following through with appropriate services within and outside of Kaiser Permanente, so they have a better chance of remaining stable and avoiding further hsopitalizations. I provide collaboration, consultation and coordination with Kaiser Permanente providers and with community resources.

As a Social Worker there are a lot of opportunities to assist people in making positive changes, to help them live as independently as possible and to provide options that they may not be aware of.

People can reach optimal mental and physical health when they are an active participant in their own treatment and form a partnership with their providers.

One of the reasons Kaiser Permanente is a good place to work because as a system, it offers many top of the line services to its members, especially in the area of mental health.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
