My Biography

I started at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco in January 2000 because of the opportunities available for continued learning and development. Working here has allowed me to work closely with doctors to determine the best way to help our patients. I am a Sports Certified Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with a particular interest in orthopedic manual therapy and sports injury rehabilitation. I am also a Certified Chi Running Instructor and running coach. Chi Running is a form of running that incorporates the balance and mindfulness of Tai Chi to make running a safe and enjoyable sport. In addition to working with athletes, I work extensively with patients who have had neurological injuries on both a one-on-one basis and in classes.

In my leisure time, I enjoy basketball, football, running, mountain biking, spending time outdoors and catching a good movie. I typically spend the rest of my free time training for and competing in running races and Adventure races throughout the US and abroad!.

Undergraduate Education: BS in Physiology, University of California at Davis
Graduate Education: MS in Physical Therapy, University of California at San Francisco
Began Practice: 1999
Joined Kaiser Permanente: 2000

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
