My Practice Philosophy

Thanks to my background in diabetes education, I believe in strong patient and family education, alongside high quality evidence based care. I have a special interest in pediatric chronic conditions that require on-going education and management. As a provider, I am interested in collaborating with all of my patients and their families to create a plan of care together.

I believe in encouraging my patients to set goals for their health that I can in turn work with them to achieve. Being a patient advocate and available to my patients is extremely important to me, and I look forward to having a personal relationship with each one.

About Me

I was born and raised in Morgan Hill, California. I received my undergraduate education in Nursing BSN at Johns Hopkins University and my Managerial Economics BS at UC Davis. I graduated from UCSF with a Masters in Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 2009. I completed my nurse practitioner residency at Stanford, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2006. I speak English and some basic Spanish. I am a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, certified Diabetes Educator and Registered Nurse. My clinic hours are Wednesdays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

My Interests

Professionally, my interest is pediatric diabetes. Some of my personal hobbies include camping, hiking, reading and swimming.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
