Welcome To My Practice

Welcome and thank you for visiting my homepage. I joined Kaiser San Jose in January, 2009 after practicing at UCLA for three years. I am happy to have joined such a great group of doctors and nurses committed to quality healthcare. I decided to become a nurse anesthetist after many years of caring for critically ill children and adults. I enjoyed the hands-on skills required in intensive care nursing and wanted to expand my expertise. As a nurse anesthetist I enjoy caring for children and adults, as well as women during labor & delivery. I love getting to know my patients before surgery and seeing them through a safe anesthetic. My goal is to make sure that my patients are relaxed and pain free, and to send them home feeling better than when they came in! I treat all my patients as if they are members of my own family.

My Background

After earning my BSN from Georgetown School Nursing, I returned to Los Angeles where I was born and raised. I worked at UCLA as an RN in the pediatric/adult cardiothoracic intensive care unit for 5 years. During that time, I completed my Masters degree in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program at UCLA School of Nursing. From there I went directly into the Nurse Anesthesia program at USC. I graduated with my Masters degree in Nurse Anesthesia in 2005.

My Recommendations

It is my job to make sure your anesthetic is a safe and pleasant experience! You can help me to achieve that by always being up front about your medical history and by taking good care of yourself. This includes eating well, getting lots of exercise and fresh air, enjoying your work and your free time and staying compliant with your medical regimen.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
