Health Care Practice

My professional interest is primary care optometry with a special interest in binocular vision. I am here to address your vision concerns and needs. I look forward to helping you achieve optimum vision, be it with spectacles, contact lenses, or treatment of ocular disease.

Personal History

I am a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1965 and a Doctor of optometry degree in 1970. I am a veteran of the Vietnam War with service in the USMC from 1965-1968. I have practiced Optometry for 37 years, spending the first 19 years of my career as a commissioned Optometry Officer in the United States Air Force. Following my retirement from the USAF in 1990, I joined the Kaiser Permanente Optometry staff at South Sacramento and in 2005 transfered to Elk Grove. I have enjoyed helping Kaiser Permanente patients with there vision needs for the past 18 years. I am married, have two grown sons, and four lively grandchildren.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
